Default Just introducing myself

Hi I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, after discovering P1999 and realizing I want to spend some time here. Just discovered EQemu when a friend pointed it out to me (I know, I know) and tried PEQ first but was put off by all the *new* stuff in it (new to me anyway).

I played a lot of EQ in the old days, probably just like most of you. I started playing right about the time of bloody kithicor and quit around luclin (hated luclin... hated it hated it). Went on to DAoC for 5 or so years, then a bit of this and a bit of that, some eve, some AO, some EQ2, etc (no wow though ever).

I played on Druzzil Ro, my main was an enchanter named Faenyar. Got to be around the mid 50's or so and was the raid coordinator and trainer for my guild (did most of my raid training in the hole which has to be hands down one of my favorite zones). Ran with a steady group of friends for several years. Also had a druid named Ganelon who I only got up to mid 30's or so (enchanter was just way too much fun) and a couple of other random chars here and there but my enchanter was my one true love. LOVED being able to turn an "OH SHIT" situation into a "HELL YES" and loved being in control of the situations. Had a SUPERB group including an extremely talented cleric who managed to keep me standing through fairly crazy situations while we experimented with PBAE groups, quad kiting, straight grinding, etc. and a druid evaccer who never ever doubted my ability to control a pull and never pulled the trigger until I very calmly would say "evac please" at which point he knew things were about to go very pear shaped.

I am *completely* out of practice to the point of I even had to look up how to create the basic ingame macro buttons again and remember very little of my EQ skills though, and I won't be spending anywhere close to the crazy amounts of time online that I did back in the day (before I got married, had house chores, long hours at work, etc) but I am looking forward to logging on and having fun when I can. I *love* the classic game, although I do have to say I am looking forward to Kunark opening because that was hands down my favorite expansion. What can I say, Kunark made enchanters gods, velious stripped it back away from us lol.

So anyway, if you see my noob erudite enchanter Faenyar or my wood elf druid Ganelon running around feel free to wave as you run by and if some random level nothing noob runs by and loads you up with his best level nothing buffs, bows and then runs off again just bear with me because that's half the fun of playing for me [You must be logged in to view images. That's the kind of attitude we like in our newbies [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] - keep it fun and make it work for your life. Welcome from another Druzzil Ro type [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].
