Default PET Exp on Green?

What are the rules for pet exp?

If I recall, its if pet does 51+% damage it gets 90% exp? Is that right? Didn't seem right on beta, but with the bonus I can't really tell.

What about in groups?

90%? Bloody hell.

What if your in group? Presumably you and the other person in the group have to do combined 51% dmg between you to get the max xp? (Which isnt hard im sure)

The 51% rule does not take effect while grouped.

In group it doesn't exist.

I don't know specifics on the 51% rule for green but I got the impression it was the same as blue so far. Not sure if that's 90% or how much.

If a pet does >50% damage, it receives 50% exp. Does not apply when player is grouped

That is the extent of the rule. Pretty straight forward. (if a pet does 100% of dmg, you still get 50% exp). Yes this is the same on Green Beta as on blue.

If your pet does 51% of the damage, then the pet eats 50% of the experience from the kill. You still get 50% of it.
If you do 51% of the damage, you get 100% of the experience from the kill.

At low levels that pet taking half is still a net gain, since you'll be killing twice as fast, risking less deaths, and being less bound to your mana bar.

Just to be a dick, did we ever get confirmation that when there was NO pet penalty on Blue, that it was an error that duplicated something from live? Was there ALWAYS a pet XP penalty on classic? I cannot remember the classic application, but I know there certainly was not a pet xp penalty early on in Blue (pet could do 100% of the damage and you would receive 100% of the xp).
