Default Minimum Bandwith Required

Wondering what the minimum bandwith to play P99 is.

Reason being, we are going into a relatively dead time at work, but due to new rules I need to be in the office. I can easily bring a second laptop into work but want to tether to phone connection to avoid getting noticed.

I have a limited high-speed data plan which switches from 4g to "2g" after my data cap. This is with Sprint, and I have read different bandwith ranges for this from 80kbps to 128kbps. Obviously back in the day this would have been fine, since even 56k was capped lower than 56k (can't remember what it actually was.. 53k?). But perhaps the Titanium client handles bandwith differently.

Would be nice to know as I've been offered a free tablet if I commit to more bandwith and trying to make that decision.

I have played with tethered phone on P99 at various times since 2010 (and once killed a dragon on a netbook while hiking) and bandwidth is such a non-issue it doesn't even matter. Extremely little data sent/received. EQ straight up won't hit your data throttling limit. If you do get restricted to 2G... I suspect it would still run fine but not sure.

Datarate of 9 should pull about 9 kB/sec. Maybe a bit more but not much.

EQ was made to run on modems. You could turn your datarate down to 5 and it would be ok for a 56k modem. You would not see problems unless on big raids or a very crowded EC tunnel.
