White Pixels at Upper Right Corner of Monitor at Night in-Game

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for reading this. I have a small problem, but it is weakening my immersion in the game world. I hope this has not been asked before, and I hope it qualifies for this subforum. When it's night time in-game, the pixels at the far edge of my laptop's upper right hand corner (like, the last column or two of pixels?) intermittently go white in little bars. I want my barbarian to be truly blind (and to feel like I am in Norrath) so this is a bit of a bummer. Is there a fix? Should I try adjusting my laptop's desktop resolution? I will note here that these pixels are not white outside of the game.

I am running Windows 7, HP Elitebook 2540P Laptop. I just installed last night and got going.
