Bolt spell graphic

Is there any way to bring back the old mage "Bolt" graphic? The big fireball flying through the air was awesome, the little particle effect now, not so much. . .

They mentioned trying to get that back in the near future. Search the board for other posts about this. Not extremely high priority of course.

this was one of my favorite things about mages, and would love to see it come back again!

I was looking at the opcodes for the projectile associated with this. I think it is doable. But it is no trivial task. So it may take a while to get it working right. Kind of like mob push. Its one of those things that is not as simple as it sounds. Push due to melee is one of the things I have spent most of my time working on for the last month.

Haynar you sir are awesome! Those are a couple of my favorite things in the game. But there was nothing like seeing the huge bolts unleashed on a mob. If you can bring that back in time, im sure you would make several people VERY happy!

If you never fix it, I benefit =) Why?

1) Bolt spells for wizards have 100 more range (300) than regular nukes (200), so they make great openers
2) Bolt spells used to get borked if you fired with another mob inbetween, another PC inbetween, or at a mob that was at a sharp incline or decline from you, if the mob moved over a hill, etc - you had to be more careful with them. I mainly, just want the spell graphic back, but honestly, lining them up was a part of classic that I enjoyed. =\
