Default Exact Bind Location

Hey All -

I just started playing again a few weeks ago on Blue after a 9 year hiatus. All my chars are low level (20 or below) and most are in their starting cities. However, I have a Lv. 20 Shaman that was at Castle Mistmore. I've avoided playing him until I figured out how to actually play again. I assumed he was bound in gfay since that'd make the most sense - I just figured out that /char exists so I logged in and typed /char and it says he's bound at Timorous Deep [You must be logged in to view images. I had no recollection of being bound there (granted, it was 10ish years ago) and would find it super odd if I was bound anywhere besides inside the firepot room. Based on a quick search, it seems a lot of people are anti-firepot room (and rightfully so - I had a lv. 50 wiz back in the day and was pretty upset about the firepots and PoK). Whatever your opinions, just a couple quick questions:

1) Is there a way to check you exact bind loc in a zone without gating to that loc?
2) When were people able to bind at the firepots in Blue?

I am primarily concerned with getting my character safely away from Mistmore and Lfay so I can figure out how to play him again - I'd rather not gate to TD and find myself in the middle of a bandit camp.

Thanks!
