is that wat they are? i thought "non fungible token" was liek, a euphemism for "crypto-authenticated bitcoinlike thingy, string of data which u verifiably own" which just happened to be used in the money laundering/wasting "art" possession realm. is the token the art? anyway the concept is f'kving retarded, u cant own something that is freely duplicatable in its finalest form and thinking u can is evidence of a verry deep psychosis. EQ items as NFTs is amazing for social wizards, becauze their eXTREMELY nerdy friends will never even fit RMT into their head and they will give them many thousands of USD equivalent in pixels they wont use that much to entice them to play. Then they (teh nerd) will quit and never think abt them again. and then if/when things get really rough IRL for teh social wizard character, the game pixels will be available, for defending the social wizard's life materially, could be worth many thousands, enough to start a rockin investment account, and even more if bitcoin goes 10x in the months after. .

From my research. They are information tagged with crypto tokens, such that only the holder of the key can authenticate the original document or information (the key need not be shared).? This doesn't preclude duplication. ?

I'm pretty sure NFTs have generated enough revenue to produce many pretty ladies. They were originally quite lucrative, but are becoming mundane and no longer lucrative.

One does not need to use an Etherium token.
