Default New Warrior from Singapore – Looking for GMT+9 Friendly Group or Guild

Hi everyone,

I’m a new player from Singapore just starting my adventure in classic EverQuest on Project 1999. I’m currently playing a Human Warrior and looking for a group or a guild that’s active around GMT+9 time zone (evenings in Southeast Asia).

Since I’m still learning the ropes, any advice on leveling, gearing up, or general survival as a Warrior would be greatly appreciated. I’d also love to join some regular groups or get involved in the community if anyone’s open to new players.

Thanks in advance, and looking forward to exploring Norrath with you all!

Welcome to p99!
You'll likely get better luck posting this in your servers main forum (green, blue, or red)
Have you played eq before? Or first time?
Wiki.project1999.com is a great site to reference if you ever need any help researching stuff.
As a new warrior I'd focus on getting a good weapon or two to start off, and fill up the rest of the armor slots with anything you can find, bonus points if it has HP/STA/STR/AC. Look for some hp rings as well. By lvl 30-40 you should be fully equipped and saving up for a haste item. You'll want that by the time you hit 40 at the latest.

Good luck in your adventures!

You won't find any australian/oceanic/asia specific timezone guilds. Thats not how p99 works. P99 a mob spawns, it is killed. 24hrs a day.

You're starting over on P99 which is 15 years old on one server and 7 on the other. There is very little low level grouping happening.

As for equipment. DPS followed by AC is all that matters until you're tanking in raids. Never sacrifice your DPS or AC. EQ is a game of reducing incoming damage and doing that is most effective by reducing the fight length, followed by reducing the amount taken during the fight. There is zero other considerations while levelling. By raid time it's aggro generation and hitpoints.

Quarm is a server with set raid times due to instanced content. There's a lot more levelling community (low lvl zones are full of groups), and there's plenty of later raid time guilds and some full of singapore/aus players.
