Modem/Router Combo and Login Issues...

This isn't a request for help so much as it is an observation from dealing with this issue since acquiring my new modem/router combo.

I have narrowed the issue down to this. If the game crashes when attempting to log on with a character, the modem will then reject any further login attempts and won't even allow connection to the server from either the EQEmu server select screen or a direct login attempt to the P99 server until the modem is restarted.

I don't have a solution for this, but am hoping that some of the more tech-savvy members of the community might be able to use this information to find a fix.
