on startup no chrs - says spells file

Hi yas. my game was working fine and then 1 day I logged in and it loaded upto the chr select screen. but instead of chrs it said something about the spells file was out of date or something. I havent changed anything and I cant see why the game would change as its hit max expansion point. any ideas how to fix??
