![]() nah its a default skin. can't get them from adding more armour. Slate was a merchant skin the other day too.

![]() This is because NPCs aren't reverting to their correct body size / appearance after an illusion fades. Some necro came and nuked them with Ignite Bones and they assumed the default/some random appearance when they reverted. Giants in SolB shrink and turn green, and golems in PoH behave similarly.
