Default Sandbox

Why does everyone keep saying this is someones sandbox? Be it the devs, or whichever top guild your not in. Why not just say it's their server? Does it make you cooler to call it a sandbox?

To me, the Sandbox always meant another Deployment to Iraq.

Its just a slang term for an open world game thats all. GTA 4 is an example of a Sandbox.

Neg... I started calling VZ/TZ a sandbox when GM favoritism and corruption issues became serious.

It means your playing a non legit, small, piece of shit server run by someone for their personal gain or friends to rule supreme.

A sandbox in video gaming just means its an open ended world, there is no quest driven storyline with an ending. Compared to traditional computer games where you beat the last boss and the game is over.
