bow crits are'nt as great on rangers any more, after that patch a few months ago, even with a high dex, the % is greater to get more, but when i had 155 dex, every 14 or so arrow shots id get one, and the dmg is'nt as great, but i havnt bow soloed on my ranger in over a month or so

Was probably a bug but back in the kunark to velious range of time Mage bolts would hit for double rarely. It would actually say the whole dmg row announcement or whatever dmg twice,

"
Your bolt hits for 810!
Your bolt hits for 810!
".

Not sum the dmg or call it a crit. but it would be dbl dmg. At least I think recall it doing that or just brain dmg.

Nope, your memory is correct, this happened. It was later fixed.

Your bolt had to hit the target at a certain angle on the z-axis to do that. Couldn't really be done consistently, but it would happen now and then if you tried.

You basically had to shoot the bolt downhill. I could do it all the time in OT, Cinder Bolt at 34 would hit for 300+ twice.
