Character location not updating correctly?

A friend of mine started playing on p99. When he follows me around, his character is running forward but rapidly appears as if he is warping just a little bit back to his previous location.


To illustrate and this is kind of crude and maybe dumb but:


My character runs like this
x----------------------------------->


His is like this
x---->
x------->
x--------->
x-----------> (etc)

He's running windows 7 and shows no packet loss when trying to run a constant ping (at least to eqemulator.net).

Any ideas? I'm having him run some anti-spyware and having him turn off his anti-virus but that's all I could think of for now.

Have him do a /n and see if anything looks funny.
