Default Orc Scalps

Quote:
Nilbog: Orc scalp drops were missing from some npcs throughout the world. Added.
I'm fairly certain this change didn't occur until later on down the timeline. There was a thread posted in the general forum that brought this change up, so I thought I'd put the research I did in the proper forum.

Orc Scalp Thread (Post-Patch)

Looks like these scalps were indeed added to the Crushbone and Gfay orcs later on down the line.

New Orc Scalp Source Found

His Excellency Nexcat

With the giant patch a week or so ago, it said that:

Orcs can now be dismembered

After that, ppl began finding "Orc Scalps" or Orc Pawns and Centurions in Gfay and Crushbone.

These Scalps, unlike the ones found on Antonica, are worthless to merchants.
It also seems these scalps were added to Orcs in CB to possibly coincide with the addition of newbie armor quests for Kelethin-based Bards...

These scalps (in CB) are used for the bard newbie armor quests Tranquilsong plate armor
Tranquilsong Greaves Quest

Quote:
Sarialiyn Tranquilsong says 'To create your greaves material you will need to combine 4 Bricks of Crude Bronze, 1 Orc Skull, 1 Orc Scalp and 1 Orc Fibula in your assembly kit. Once you have created the proper material take it to a forge along with this mold to fashion your very own Greaves of the Tranquilsong.'
Here is a link to the patch notes from that month, which include a little lore about the goblins of Faydwer allying with the Crushbone Orcs which could have something to do with this. I'd also like to point out that this is in the Luclin era, about 6-7 months prior to the release of the Legacy of Ykesha expansion..
