Default Begging

I have been trying to find out if anyone knows anything about the begging skill. I have raised my skill to over 90(pretty time consuming) and haven't ever received even 1 copper piece. Are certain NPC's easier to beg than others? Does the NPC level/my level ratio matter? Does the skill even work? I also read somewhere that Charisma plays a factor on some servers. Any advice/answers would be greatly appreciated! Thank you [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I've done quite a bit of begging from npc's and I have gotten up to a platinum piece before

its usually around 1 copper each successful attempt tho.

and I'm a dwarf with a chr of like 50 or less lol

idk if chr affects it or not.. haven't actually done serious testing on it yet

you can even beg money from random monsters.. even if they are KoS to you.. so might as well skill up begging on something you are going to kill anyways.. that way if you get a critical failure.. you were going to kill it already anyhow lol

Yeah, as I said I've done plenty of that. Never had a successful beg though. I guess I just have really bad luck? haha

Certain mobs are programmed to be beggable, only found a few but they pay out quite regularly (literally 1cp).

Lucky the Beggar (Highkeep)
Monala (Erud's Crossing)
{that beggar in East Freeport near the WFP zoneline}

begging a beggar... for shame!!

i'm pretty sure you can beg anything.. and get skill ups.. but i think if the monster doesn't normally have coins like say a bear.. you will never succeed in getting money.

but you can still get skill ups.. and you can still fail.. i've had plenty of snakes, bears, wolves get angry and say "you have the audacity to beg from me !!!"
