Default New Player to P1999 but longtime EQ lover!

Hey all I just wanted to stop in and say Hello. I am new to P1999 and I am really looking forward to diving in and getting hooked in with the great community of EQ players here. I played EQ originally just after it came out in late 1999 and early 2000. I remember being so amazed at this new genre of game I had never seen or could have imagined before. It really made in impression on me especially at such a young age (14).

I look forward to experiencing much of the things I missed because I started to young and had very limited playing times back then. I would love to find some regular people that play similar times as me to group with. I look forward to a mix of nostalgia and new encounters of things I missed in my time before. I used to be huge into raiding when I could. Do people raid much in p1999? Is there enough people? I remember people recruiting for Naggy and Vox raids and even running a few myself. So much fun. Also getting into the Planes with my guild was so much fun and felt like a huge accomplishment at the time!

I would love to find some peeps to group and level up with, helping each other out, that know all the cool quests and drops and stuff along the way that I likely missed in grinding and trying to keep up with everyone else. Thanks all, Good Hunting!

There's not likely to be any shortage of players your level to group with, no matter what level you are. Most zones almost always have a few people in them, though you have better chances sticking to "hot zones" such as it were. EC, Crushbone, LOIO, etc etc etc. Things that see a lot of player traffic.

Plenty of guilds raid here. Some have extensive requirements for joining and are very dedicated to competing with each other. Even if that competition requires them to defecate in footwear. No different than guilds that operated on Live really. There's casual family guilds, hard core raid guilds, and middle-ground guilds. You would do well to search the guild board here on the forums and research the active guilds for the ones that suit you best.

If you would like to see possible items or quests you may have missed on Live or any other various things you feel you may have missed, you should check the P99 wiki. You may also search Allakhazam although you should be aware that Alla may not necessarily reference Classic EQ and what to expect on this server. In fact it's almost guaranteed not to as it's a database for Live and keeps up-to-date and modern.

At any rate, if you need help with anything shoot me a tell in game, I'd be glad to help you out [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Have fun!
