Default Cheapest Range Weapons?

I've looked around at a few vendors but I can't really seem to remember what the cheapest option is for ranged weapons. It seems like lots of folks have been wanting me to pull lately - and with no spells and no ranged weapons it's kind of a pain.

Any help would be appreciated.

Might want to mention what class you are... if you can use a bow, obviously use a bow. Throwing daggers / shurikens work too.

Sorry, good point. I'm a warrior. Honestly I really think we're pretty low on the list of "ideal pullers" but folks ask me to do it. I don't mind. I do think I recall arrows being a cheaper option over throwing daggers.

I've levelled my fletching to about 40 and made wood/small nock arrows and a elm/hemp bow for a few plat with one failure, very cost effective and decent range for pulling. My tank ends up pulling in most of my groups since I can take getting beaten on by multiple mobs during the pull better than most so saves the cleric/druid/shammy mana and when I pull, I hold aggro much better than if someone else pulls...

Regards,
Mg

just run over the mobs and hit taunt as you run by. Or you can buy cheap throwing shrunkiens from most Inn merchants and the like, but they have horrid range, like 40 or so. but they are cheap!

Thanks! I think I'll try the fletching route. I don't really have much plat to waste, totally broke. But I still can't stand having horrible range, in that case yeah I may as well run up and taunt.

Luckily fletching is one of the cheapest tradeskills around. Also having a bow / arrow will give you the greatest range for pulling / tagging a mob, which pullers sometimes ask you to do.

Shurikans are 60 (or 65?) range I believe and can be purchased in the freeport monk guild. Throwing daggers can be purchased in far more places, but are pretty much worthless because their range is horrible. As a warrior, your best bet is probably to rock a bow and arrow combo.

If you're concerned about range, your best bet is probably to get blacksmithing up and make javelins. Depending on which ones you make they are between 200-250 range (although I'm not 100% sure which ones are in game atm as I've been to lazy to level up my blacksmithing)
