Default Charmed Pets are Bugged

I posted this before, but now I have more info to add. The issue is that a charmed pet will (sometimes or always, i'm not sure) remain 'your' pet after you zone/die and keep fighting whatever it is killing. While that part just might be correct (should the pet remain your pet after you die/zone?), the pets seem to go into some sort of god mode. The first issue was when charming in HS. The pather outside Drusilla's room was charmed. A bad pull resulted in Drusilla and four golems coming out to kill us. We wiped in the hallway but came back in to find that not only was Drusilla dead, but the mob we had charmed was dead too. We assume the pet killed Drusilla then was killed by the four golems. Around this time I had an issue of my shiverback pet in fear receiving heals as if it was getting out of combat regen, all while fighting three other mobs. It killed one mob before I gated out, without getting any heals from a PC. Tonight I was soloing the lguk king camp. A mob I was root/rotting started to run, and I got stuck in the wall going down the stairs. The runner then caught some agro and the tactician and a knight came after me. I quickly charmed the knight to agro the tact. The pather then also agro'd me and took me below 20% hp. In the mess I guess my root on the tact broke, because he was coming after me. I managed to zone out with 8-10% hp left. When I came back in, the tactician was dead. I believe this same bug to be at play, where somehow an unbuffed, light blue con pet managed to kill a named mob and an add, without any slows or debuffs on either npc. This is a serious let down, and this bug has caused me to miss out on a few nice loots (NoS and plat tiara). I don't think this can really be used as an exploit, since i don't think it happens all the time, so I am posting it here. I have died other times with a charmed pet to find the mob I was fighting alive and well. I appreciate it if anyone looks into this. Thanks.

I had an idea today about what might be going on in the scenarios I described above. Today I was druid charming in Chardok. I messed up and had two casters on my pet, so I gated to try and keep him alive. When I came back, the pet was dead. My theory is that when I gated the charm spell broke and the mobs stopped fighting one another, but that one or both of the caster npcs kept casting a spell they had started before I gated. I'm guessing that this spell then landed on my former pet, agroing it. Now my former pet would start to attack the caster npc that cast on it, causing the caster to re-agro the former pet. Now the two mobs would fight to the death. I'm not sure if this really explains both situations I described above, but its a possibly mechanic that may or may not be considered a bug.

Thats how its always worked. Been all about timing and server ticks.

Seems to be working as intended. It can even work with melee rounds. The split second after a charm breaks if a mob was actively attacking your pet it can get a round in and they will fight once they lose their hate for you.

By that same token, I've seen mezzes broken with damageshields, where a mezzed mob will get 1 swing off the split second after getting mezzed then the DS he takes from hitting a tank or chanter breaks the mez. Which is always awesome to laugh at.
