Default Slam / Bash

Since the last patch my bash skill has not gone up for 3 levels using slam as an ogre war, stuck at 85 / 100 skill atm. Kick and all other skills moving up fine, just bash will not go up using slam.

bash is so messed up, maybe its channeling - bash should interrupt a spell on contact. the caster should never be able to channel a spell after a sucessful bash/slam - unless they are stun immune.

Just hit 21 and still stuck at 85. Have not seen a bash skill up since I last maxed it at lvl 16, right before the patch.

I haven't seen Bamzal's problem yet, but yes, bash/slam should always interrupt if it lands:

"Slam:
A version of the bash skill. Shaman don't increase skill in bash, so a lot of people disregard it. They shouldn't - since Shaman get no type of stun or knockback spell, this is the only way besides weapon melee that we are able to interrupt spells. If you land a slam, it interrupts your target’s spell 100% of the time in both PvE and PvP. Without slam, most of those pesky halfee druids would have gated away on me."

Stun immune should have no effect on it. Ogres won't get stunned, but the slam still interrupts spell casting.

That's not how it works. The only things that can interrupt a spell are fearing/stunning/mezzing/charming-type effects, or movement (ie if you're in a different spot from where you started casting). If a mob is stun-immune then you might still be able to interrupt a spell using melee push, which slam probably contributes to.

22 now, all skills maxed at 115, including all 5 weapon skills, but bash still stuck at 85. Were bash skill ups perhaps accidentally decoupled from slam?

Fixed, pending update. For now, if you want to skill up, you need to equip a shield.
