Game Mechanics: Pet Health Bar Not Updating

I've encountered an interesting bug in the UI reporting the health of pets, either in group, or when targeted. Sometimes his problem is fixed just by targeting the pet, and then it updates both in the Party Window and in the target window, but other times, it won't update until the pet engages in combat and receives damage. Most recent example of this was a pet that was reading at 40% health in my client, but the pets owner told me he was at full health. Even targeting the pet, switching targets, then targeting it again didn't fix this, it only updated when it engaged in combat.
