Default Multiple People Playing?

Is there a way that I would be able to play on a LAN with my friends?

Yes, but you have to request an IP Exemption to allow more than one connection per IP address.

Make a post in the Petition/Exploit area of the forums requesting an exemption, and make sure to post your external IP address from wherever you will be playing.

If you don't know how to get your IP address, goto www.WhatIsMyIp.com or www.IPChicken.com at the place where you plan to play.
