Audio Alerts working?

Hey, I'm trying to setup some audio alerts (for "Your root has worn off.", etc) It seems that I've set them up correctly and I can preview the sounds, but the sounds don't go off when the text shows up in the client.

Has anyone else gotten audio alerts to work on p1999? I'm using wineq if that makes a difference.
