Default Brother Qwinn spawn info?

Trying to do my ROTLC turn in and guilds keep killing him... anyone have any reliable info on spawning him?

Been killing Narra Tanith (known PH) regularly. Internet info is scarce and doesn't seem to apply to P99.. (78sec PHs on the west wall don't spawn Narra or Brother Qwinn)

Any tips for a monk driven crazy? This guy makes Raster seem simple

Respawn time for the other named mobs in the zone is about 25 minutes. Should be the same for all the ones on Qwinn's cycle.. but I don't know what all those mobs are. The werewolf, Sentry Alechin, Marik Clubthorn, Synger Foxfyre? I think at least some of those are on his cycle.

Brother Qwinn has 2 PH's on a ~20-25 min timer. One is Narra Tanith, and another is an escaped splitpaw gnoll. Just kill them, wait a few and check track if you can. You should get him to spawn in ~1 hr or so.

Thanks for the info! I'll try again tomorrow... needed confirmation that I'm just getting unlucky and not doing it wrong.

What's been frustrating is not seeing any of his PHs wander by Paw (basically the only reliable point you can watch the path) for what seems like an hour or more. Since Narra is the most confirmed PH, not seeing her for a good 2 hours was especially disheartening.

I might have learned more today tho.. in addition to the escaped paw and Narra, I've watched an elephant calf and lioness that seem to be on the exact same path and could be PHs. They walk on the exact same line right by Splitpaw tunnel though I couldn't be sure its a ~20min interval.

I'll see if I can confirm or deny that and post more for future Qwinn hunters...

The calf and lioness that path through Paw are Quillmane PHs. While you're there watching for Quinn you ought to knock them down too, as there's a decent chance they'll pop a winged pony cruising along the hills to your west.

Woah that actually happened to me today Clever.. good call

I wonder though... when Quillmane hunters in the zone, I see Narra pop like crazy. When no ones killing Quillmane PHs, hours will go by before I see a Qwinn PH.

Is it possible that calf and lioness are PHs for both Qwinn and Quillmane?

Meaning that Quillmane will never spawn in place of that elephant calf, it triggers a 78sec spawn elsewhere when it dies.

But Qwinn could spawn in place of that elephant calf and it wouldn't even mess up Quillmane at all (that spawn would simply not be in Quillmane's 'rotation' of 78sec spawns)

Am I overthinking it?

I think I know who you are, as I'm an avid Quillmane hunter, and you definitely know who I am. I know for sure that Quillmane can be up when the elephant calf is up. I'm pretty positive that the lioness can be up when Quillmane is up.

I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think the Qwinn spawn is related to Quillmane, as I've seen all of the Qwinn placeholders, as well as Qwinn, up when Quillmane was up.

I think you just had really bad luck over the past couple days I saw you in zone. If you catch me in zone when I'm not spawning Quillmane, I will certainly help you track down Qwinn and his placeholders.

Yea I'm that Monk bugging you in SK last couple days...

You seem to have the Quillmane thing down so no argument from me.

Mechanics like these are what's always intrigued and annoyed me.. like many things with EQ its a love/hate relationship.

I appreciate your offer.. so far I think yelling when you see a PH on track is helping immensely =)

He finally spawned today and I wanted to follow up on this forum post for any future Brother Qwinn researchers. I always hated reading info on a forum and not knowing if it actually helped and is reliable.
  • No info from Live seems to apply to P99, ignore it all
  • PH is either Narra Tanith or 'an escaped Splitpaw' (thx to Kindadar)
  • Spawn time is ~20-25min (again thx Kindadar)
  • Spawn% seems to be low but is unconfirmed. I could just be unlucky but set some time aside if he's not up
  • Path makes an erratic figure 8 with center point being Splitpaw tunnel. Save time and camp PHs there
  • Might as well kill lionesses and elephant calf while you wait.. might get Quillmane
  • No other named are on this cycle.. that includes werewolf, Sentry Alechin, Marik Clubthorn, Synger Foxfyre
