Default Hope for the end game...

FTE needs to be change so more people / guilds get a shot at the end game encounters without insane poopsocking. I’m not aware of anything being done to fix it, been months since the rolling restarts was proposed, so I can only assume they still don’t have a solution they like yet. I know this wont be the solution, but my hope is this is food for thought for a solution that will fix it. It'd be nice to hear an update from management on what the roadmap is to fix it.

My 2 cent idea is FTE remains with the following exception to help spread the wealth on end game encounters:

First player to call for a mob, in shout, for their guild after it spawns owns exclusive right to engage for 1 hr. Winning caller marks in shout the end time of their rights based on game clock.

From that point forward that guild owns the encounter, i.e. respect their request to leave the area if they ask, etc.

They can get help but that guild decides the loot rules etc. don’t like them don’t help them.

If they are engaged when timer ends, timer extends till mob dies or they wipe.

If they are not engaged when timer ends or they whip after timer FTE rules apply.

A guild can only use a call once a week and the guild self manages who can use it or what the penalty is for using it when not condoned by leadership i.e. wasting it.

Only applies to top tier encounters… let the GMs decide which.

Loop hole, who keeps track of guild call timers… ideas? Post them on forums? Petition that GMs can look up?

Other flaws? What’s your idea? whats the road map? I can’t wait for a fix, I’m sure it’s out here. Viva la P99!

First in zone with 15 people should have first crack at whatever encounter is up in zone, period. If that guild has 15 people and doesn't engage within 10 minutes, the mob should be fair game to the next challenger. In instances where 15~ people are already in zone prior to a mob spawning, the first guild to attack(melee swing, attempted spell cast) should own that mob and its loot. This is how it worked on my live server after rotations were dissolved.
