I believe Tecmos ran a test that proved that pet HP gear does work. I'm fairly sure pet MR gear works as well and it would be easy to test (cast root 100x, charm, give mr gear, break, cast root 100x).

Also nice kill Planarity, i haven't really tried the lower level stuff. I did solo some on Loraen but I didn't really know what I was doing back then.

Yeah, it definitely did (with 2 hp rings anyway). Didn't get around to trying to test AC, resists, or other stats on pets before I went on my recent p99 break though. What's up with me and taking breaks from p99 in November-December?

next up: Yun Priest on live side lguk. Clearing into the keep is too much trouble so, though the area is packed, I invised in. Once I determined that there's only one pather inside the keep, it was easy to find a place to isolate and weaponize/haste him. Because of the cramped quarters, a crit calm resist would have been trouble--thankfully I didn't have any. Stupid Yun Priest spent all his mana on nukes and went down fast. heals weren't an issue.

This fight was my toughest yet. He healed himself a lot and dispelled the crap out of me.

Planarity is making me feel like less of a man for getting pl for my necro instead of, well, being a real man.

...

Consequently, I went and got my 29 pet spell for my necro and xferred it to him and ran him over to:

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

And promptly got beat up by a goo and a coerced gnome at the drop down to level 2 because I haven't played at all in months, or my necro (seriously) ever. Yay Dalnir! God bless HS and FD though. Definitely will get spoiled playing with those.

Second attempt in that room I killed the goo, though almost got adds from outside because even a 3-tick fear and dooming darkness runs them all the way out of the room, but pet got his ass beat and I got a resist on darkness on the gnome so I just feigned him off and let pet die. Then after I got up and medded up while invis, I got another pet up and attacked the gnome. He was just a warrior, and the fight went fine... until he resisted a snare and started fleeing, then resisted another snare, then got a greater heal through a wall while finding a dwarf buddy to come help. I backed off and tipped my cap to my pet as he bought me the time to FD. Then FD failed just as my pet died... lol. But I always roll with FD and HS both loaded on a necro, so I popped HS and medded a couple ticks as FD refreshed and my dots got the gnome back down to 2%. I swapped in my RoA and took two swings to hit him and finish him off, then I feigned off the dwarf add and laughed to myself.

How this zone endeared itself to me back in the day, as I leveled here as a 25-30+ enchanter with a druid and a monk buddy along, I will never know [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Planarity is a pro in the making.

King is also a doable camp at 50, and becomes much easier at 51 with ToT. I used to do it to take breaks from nobles. The exp is fairly mediocre, but the money is great for that level.
