I honestly thought most of this thread was just a troll thread. Seriously, I doubt that people really get that bothered by "offensive" names, unless they are racially insensitive or have some other RL negative connotation. i mean sure, "Scratchybutt Itchyhole" or whatever is stupid and juvenile, but I don't think I'd waste my time petitioning his name.

I remember on live a guy had the name "Irishcarbomb" or something like that, and for some reason I found that name unimaginative and offensive. I still don't think I petitoned it though.

I named my mage Assinvader and you wouldnt believe the vile things these nerds said to me.

"Wtf that names inappropriate kill yourself you inbred retard" was my favorite.

So i tell the dude. "Its short for assassin dark vader, and you're just as bad, your name should be spelled archimedes, not archimedies"

He then flipped the fuck out in the best way possible, should have saved it.

Ive only received compliments on my druid's name...although not ready to share it just yet..although ive come to find that Baler seems to be an EU player so if you in the US and east coast your good to go..and not in EC tunnel lol. Unless names are highly explicit, reporting them simply makes you selfish and full of envy and schadenfreude. I assure you that having someone else's name changed will be more damaging to that person's immersion than to yours for seeing it. Nothing to be proud of, really.

Ugh yeah, Ive seen this char. Why petition tho? I just know who not to get much involved with in-game, names like that make it easy.
