This only solves a tiny part of the problem. Besides, everyone already has a gun according to the City, County, State, and Federal Police. Department of Transportation or whatever.

Using your gun in self defense is only OK if you are a certain type of person in the USA. The minute every yokel starts shooting the people harming them they'll have civil war and the USA will just burn to ashes anyway because the military will indiscriminately start killing everyone.
