Just because a shitload of people are choosing to take advantage of asylum policies meant for persecution by one’s gov’t or for one’s faith, aka only applying to Cuba and Haiti, doesn’t mean that a shitload aren’t also trying to sneak over thinking they might be rejected

I didn’t say deny asylum to all refugees. I say we should reject all the ones that don’t qualify for the legal reasons, persecution by one’s gov’t or for one’s faith. Not because my country is poor or has too much crime or running from the climate monster

Everyone should get to wait in Mexico or back home until their fair hearing. In fact we should give priority to hearing cases that queue at immigration stations in their home countries, and the others can go back home and wait there
