Lol, Bloomberg on how to deal with inflation:

“If you’re one of the many Americans who became a new pet owner during the pandemic, you might want to rethink those costly pet medical needs.”

Time to start buckling down, America. As an upside, you can always eat it after, which will save you lots on increasingly expensive meat costs

Probably Bloomberg the publication, if anything. Bloomberg himself won’t be saying much anymore after the curb stomping of 2020

What is the most you would spend on a pet medical bill? Does your initial investment play into the equation? Let's say you got a dog for $500, would you pay $4500 to keep that dog alive?

My ma’s dog caught some kind of horrible illness as a puppy and had to spend like a week at the vet, including intubated in like a coma. Afterwards I sarcastically called it the “million dollar dog”, never learned what the cost was

I wouldn’t spend anything. I don’t even like watching my pets get old and sick. I just turn them loose just before then “go free little guy”.

Jk, but I don’t think I would spend a lot. But it would depend moreso on the emotional attachment than the cost of the pet, but both would be factors
