If you want to make a story about black hobbits and dwarves, maybe even some black tree-folk, maybe try inventing your own instead of bastardizing someone’s work Edit: or, if you want to make a movie about a beloved fantasy character AND force as many black actors into roles as you can in a way that fits the story, why not take up the gauntlet of making one about Drizzt Do’Urden, the dark elven ranger hero. If you pick the setting of Menzoberranzan you could have an entirely black cast, wouldn’t that be diverse

Danerys is a 10 compared to these people. Also, Daemon Targaryen looks like an engineer from Prometheus

![]() i also noticed they must not have been doing their recruiting this time around from the underwear model > actor agency, what a shame. if that wasn't a show in the game of thrones verse we'd all call it boring. matt smith seemed kind of bored.

Game of thrones was the last tv show I watched and Avengers: Endgame was the last movie I watched (until top gun: Maverick, took a date to see that). And I don’t feel like I’ve missed much I might watch house of the dragon if I keep hearing it’s good. Like I said I don’t mind woke programming as long as it is immeshed in a good story in a logical way. This new generation of writers sucks. They can’t come up with many good original ideas and when they steal someone else’s for those ez nostalgia $$$ bucks they tend to screw it up

In regards to putting more fat people in movies, yea that I don’t get much either, at least not in these types of movies. Fantasy and superhero movies are supposed to be about aesthetically-pleasing heroes often batting it out physically with bad guys. Going out of your way to cast a fat person who is going to be in a fight scene against strong or numerous foes isn’t all that believable, unless we’re going with the “they have magical powers” logic. And why are beautiful people cast for movies and shows? Probably because people like to look at them. Why do beautiful people tend to do better in any entertainment medium, even YouTube or twitch? Because people like to look at them. People’s desire to look at something visually appealing seems to be greater than their desire to look at someone like them, or uglier than them, and I don’t see that changing /shrug
