I dunno where you're seeing the posts here about Democrats doing this. Most of us believers are used to the edgy athiest types, and they certainly aren't all Democrats.

Unlikely, don’t you have the highest possible confidentiality with confession? I don’t think they can even report a murder if you confess it, same level as attorney/client confidentiality

Should they? Well obviously the world would be better if every profession was mandated reporter, but then I guarantee CPS would be completely under water and unable to do their jobs

I dunno. I don't think I know enough about the positives and negatives to form an opinion. Some planes get sky marshals.

I can't speak for every church but I've been to a few here that were fairly explicit about endorsing political candidates.

They can only report if you PLAN to kill someone, not if you already did. Little known fact from working in the BH field

I know this sounds like nonsense to many people but I think a verified first contact would be the best thing to happen to our species and this planet. We would suddenly be the same beings. We would be Earthlings, humanoid Earthlings. Our petty differences would no longer define us and cause strife. An outsider alien species would reinforce just how similar we all are, the one thing we're blind to because it's in our nature to see our differences not our similiarities.

That's the dream anyway.
