Surely if anything inappropriate had gone on, he would have been help accountable. I mean it's not like he could get away with partying with Epstein and bragging about grabbing women by the genitals for decades.

China is just cherrypicking the good aspects of capitalism and installing them over a communist tyranny. So they have a GDP but also the government can disappear you and your family for dissent.

You won't be able to escape Chinese manufacturing unless you avoid electronics and live in the nude. I'm just glad that someone on the right has at least has the political literacy to acknowledge China is a hybrid system.

However, our government assassinates its own citizens and disappears people all the time, too. I'd argue they are more skilled at doing so, since we're under a lot more external scrutiny than the Chinese.

I don't see our government as being so different from China's. Both authoritarian and bigoted states that are rapidly destroying the Earth's capacity to host human life, while doing imperialist things in 'developing' countries.
