![]() that's the urban legend they gorilla market with.
Their greatest profits were in land ownership when they were spreading around the country but that has long since changed. and either way I highly doubt you're being honest about your argument re your knowledge of how the tax bill works and who it affects and who it doesnt I really dont. I honestlyl cant believe we're at this stage where we think we need to help the media so much we need to give them tax breaks during their most profitable year following their last most profitable year while CNN and FOX do their best "lets turn the country into hatfield and mcoys!" impersonations. whatever, lets ban social media and make the goverment pay salaries of journalists fuck it! What do I care I want everyone to suffer and that is a much quicker path to that.

![]() holy shit you can just become a not for profit news organization operating off of a subscription model and then still pay your employee's huge salaries, while being TAX EXEMPT
now these organizations (owned by parent companies like CNBC and FOX) can get to write off 50k per employee. We are in a doom spiral, the freedom of the press thingy is going to be the thing that kills us all. I think I would so much rather have replaced that with something like, the goverment shall remain transparent to all eyes and hide no secrets from its people, than 'pretty sure those guys will keep a good watch for us, this is enough, dont fuck with them!'

"In 2011, crude oil was trading at nearly $120 per barrel on the NYMEX. High oil prices were sustained until mid-2014, when prices crashed from $100 per barrel down to less than $50. While consumers rejoiced at lower gas prices, oil and gas producers scrambled to stay profitable. At $120 per barrel, fracking is a very profitable business. At lower prices, companies are forced to weigh the cost of expensive fracking compared to less expensive extraction methods. The most expensive oil produced in the United States today comes from older wells known as “stripper wells.” These are aging oil and gas wells that only produce a few barrels per day. The maintenance cost on the wells does not decline with oil prices, and these wells become unprofitable around $40 per barrel."
