holy shit you can just become a not for profit news organization operating off of a subscription model and then still pay your employee's huge salaries, while being TAX EXEMPT

now these organizations (owned by parent companies like CNBC and FOX) can get to write off 50k per employee.

We are in a doom spiral, the freedom of the press thingy is going to be the thing that kills us all.

I think I would so much rather have replaced that with something like, the goverment shall remain transparent to all eyes and hide no secrets from its people, than 'pretty sure those guys will keep a good watch for us, this is enough, dont fuck with them!'
