I love that you guys see these as Biden problems and not huge indictments of capitalism itself

Let's get this party started, Brandon.

The second-biggest program in the Democrats' spending plan gives billions to the rich.

How about you see these capitalism problems and not an indictment of the human condition itself or the concept of entropy.

we live in a harsh and unforgiving universe, without shelter we would die.

we do not, nor have we ever, nor has any lifeform lived in some sort of universe without entropy.

I know capitalism seems harsh, but the truth is without it, life has been a lot harsher.

saying capitalism is bad because it makes people want more things so they build them, is like saying sex feeling good so animals procreate is poor design and based on greed. Like animals would be better off if evolution made it so sex felt like nothing, and come up with a better reason than "i want to have sex" to make offspring.

It's like, yeah, that idea is cool, but it simply does. not. work.

Capitalism is the natural order of things.

The natural order of things is better.

I'd wager there's evidence we have changed economic systems in the past

But changing the vague concept of 'human condition' is a taller order, even fully automated luxury gay space communism isn't going to suddenly make every human problem go away

Whereas capitalism has put us on a road to inevitable self destruction

As you know, Nature has absolutely no way of managing unchecked explosive growth, and I've personally met dogs that were billionaires

Yearly defense spending bill far outweighs yearly cost of both biden infrastructure bills, is hugely wasteful, is 25billion more than what Biden asked for and yet, some (manchin/sinema/gop) use the argument that "we cant afford" the infrastructure bills (or healthcare, or 2 year education, etc) as a cudgel, and ignore that same argument when it comes to defense spending.

No matter how you slice it, or what political side you are on, hes got a point.
