the problem is we moved all our manufacturing to china (which is not only stupid but immoral because they used slave labor until recently)

and we relied in globalism

if we remained a nation of builders and manufactured our own goods right now we'd all be fine.

Oh sure iphones would be more expensive but you're an idiot if you dont know there is a 1000$ mark up on the logo alone already so no the shit you buy wouldnt cost more.

Greed is what moved those factories to china, not capitalism. Greed is what told our farmers to grow only corn so we could import food. Greed, through the power of: The goverment.

oh no im all for rippipng all the trees down I just think that if we took a step back from the ledge and tried to 1980's this country again, WITH the idea of having non rape prisons and re building the mental hospitals and manufacturing etc, then we'd be fine.
