I thought it was commonly known that a large amount of Velious loot was crummy to begin with and upgraded as the expansion progressed. Some individual items received upgrades more than once. Entire dungeons were re-itemized well before Luclin launched.

Compared to the blatantly obvious monk bias the devs have (using the other classic links Ele is posting), BoC was junk.

15/23 with no proc vs. 13/17 with a proc. That's a no-brainer. No wonder the warrior class had a sit-in and Furor threw a shit-fit. Ele, when does Tunare get itemised?

Fungi is a bigger game changer for the 1-20 scene than a BoC due to damage caps.

Yeah it is possible. But BoC was just a "look at me im a cool twink wep" and later became worth alot of value, if you didnt have a SoD already. Hell I remember alot of warriors using up till PoP and somewhat later with a anger 3 aug put on it , on my server. Everyone isnt rich, everyone cant log in lvl 1's into ToV to loot a Kreizemm's flame. Just saying its not like this weapon is horrible. But highly overrated I agree.
