picked off the commander patrol right in the right corner and pulled around small corner with root.

used second corner to root the second mob and pulled the pickler around 3rd corner going into d2, rooted him and nuked the shit out of him with heals / regrowth and gated out without killing the other two

Crazy. I would never have thought you could stick roots on an ilis and the other stuff back there long enough to kill a named, without tash and not at 60.

nice list Petros. What I want to know is how you pulled off Estrella. I mean I can guess, but just such a pain with all her guards and it being under water. Unless you used the old hide-single pull method. don't think you are a halfling, so no crazy sneak skills there.

also grats on Knight of Sathir. tried him today solo on Plok, didn't go well at all. Might have been better if I just straight nuked him after the first wave of DoTs. I gated out just fine, but between the summons and spells i think he was at 70% or so.

Also tried Knight of Sathir on Klok (59 monk, zero buffs, 2.1k hp, no fungi, 80PR, 90DR), got him to 30% after mend and innerflame. be fairly easy i think with PR/DR/dex/str/hp buffs. i got fed up with trying to split him in that tiny back area and just used plok to harmo then log over, but o well. after sos proc'd fairly early i swtiched to ac, but i think it only proc'd once for me.

Estrella you do in pieces. I had a swordfish and went in and made sure to kill two of her guards and gated out. Go back in, invis to where the pet was and recharm. Split the remaining guards with root and sic pet on Estrella and smash her with nukes.

Also, yes. Itemize for HP and AC, make sure you have both DS's on, and just stand there throwing fireballs and heals it's actually surprisingly effective. Summoners are... not good. You need to be able to survive getting your ass kicked so you can stabilize with root CC.

Makes sense. Definitely a hard one tho. (edit not sure why i said not a hard one)

On another note, finally got Verix down (with strings). Took three pets total, weaponized the first one, haste on all three. Basically just recharmed a new pet as soon as the first died, hasted it asap for a short dps burst, then waited while dotting a bit. used epic dot until i pulled agro and had to root verix, then robed myself a bit and saved mana. at 40% i had a fresh pet, dotted verix and then burned him down at 20%. no more blind/fear nonsense this time. didn't even notice him trying to heal, but from 40% he went down fast.

Pissed some people off in the process, but what are you gunna do. At least I did need that piece again after selling an MQ to loraen [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I realized a bit back that I'd killed enough mobs to qualify as a duo disciple. I wish I had exciting stories to tell, but honestly all of the kills were pretty controlled. All of these kills were with me playing Daire, my cleric, and Tecmos playing his enchanter. He charms ridiculous things, I make sure he doesn't die when charm breaks. I suspect we'll add another four mobs from the duo master list before too long.
