Solo Artist Challenge

its been said, but seriously, there is no point to shit up this thread. no one is trying to hide their use of puppet strings or any other clickies. for encs, strings mostly make soloing safer. for shaman, they add some dps in the right situation. for other classes, they are crazy OP, but its how you combine them with your class that matters. if you think my solo kill of drusella had nothing to do with chain rooting her and nuke/dotting her for over 6k damage, then you are crazy. you could hope to get lucky as a rogue and let the pet do all the work, but then you are stepping more and more into luck territory, and any charm break will be an almost instant death.

i am very curious as to what a druid can solo without these clickies, but the list is very unimpressive. 99% of non-summoning mobs are a piece of cake, and most summoning mobs are nearly impossible.

this is a great thread and a great challenge for anyone who is looking for something new in an old game.

i for one seriously thought i was one of the best solo'ers out there, but after this thread i realize there are a lot of places to push my limits and a lot of people who can do more than i can. i've already achieved new things. hell, I thought it was impossible to solo tranix as a druid, even with strings, but I proved that wrong. is it unfair that i don't have all the best VP gear and epic? sure, you could argue that. full VP gear + epic would add over 200hp to my toon plus a ton of resists, and i'm sure some mana too. all that would make these fights much easier (EDIT: just like strings or other clickies make fights easier).



just thought of a mob that could be added to the list: Eejag (lavastorm). its an epic mob, but its triggered by text only, so its very easy to spawn and there is no competition for him. the mob is hard because 1) cannot be pulled out of the lava, 2) summons, 3) there isn't much in the zone to charm (maybe the merchant?), 4) he is nearly 100% immune to spells. gwan and trunt could be added to that, but dont have to be. just tossing it out there. <3 the thread :P
