Crusader is a paladin, so he will cast heals when either a player or pet is in melee range. I found that when no healers are spawned at the 2 spawns to left/right before crusader and you stay out of melee range while keeping it rooted and he wont heal himself( little harder to root/dot as an ench lol.) He also uses LoH at low health if hes engaged by a player/pet at melee range. That specific area of guk sucks in particular due to the healers/buffers helping mobs through the wall but I'm fairly sure if you engage a mob that's out of range of friendly healers and stay out of melee range they won't heal themselves. Atleast they never used to when I hunted there on tass; I haf a nice little farming/exping cycle lol I went from evil eye to noble to king/tact to herbalist then finished with crusader before returning to EE.

ah right, i forgot healers wont heal when nothing is in melee range. that's the difference

I logged into crypt this morning to find emperor up, and I figured "why not?". I was a bit tight on time by the time I cleared mobs outside his room though, so I calmed the 4 skeletons inside with no problem and rooted his pet to pull, planning to use clickies to win the fight before my kids woke up.

I did have some better-than-average luck with my level 50 pet staying charmed the whole 4-minute fight... but even with eating pyrocuror and scourge right off the bat and taking time to dispel them, accidentally dispelling my pets haste when I was trying to dispel pyrocuror from myself and then it being probably a minute before I realized it, not having my pet weaponized or set up to dispel magic dots, and getting 2 adds near the end as lulls near the rooted spectre pet faded, I killed him using 'only' 2 ch clicks (one for myself cause I ate the whole pyrocuror after messing up my attempt to dispel it... lol).

That's actually quite impressive tecmos.

I've tried emp with an enc, and failed due to pet breaking. I just used the mobs in his room however which is a nice steady supply of junk and gives room to kite.

Will try again next time I'm down there.

Notice most those named are pet classes or charmers, u maybe soloing in the sense that but you have help in the form of another body, a AI body but another body still. Not impressed by pet classes that solo mobs, now the non pet classes on that list i can cheer on.

While watching a good-luck charm handle some of these mobs by itself may be boring to you, watching the same named die to a warrior with bags full of nets and heal clickies or to a bard who takes 30 minutes of chant mez heal or whatever is much less interesting to read about, and even less interesting to actually do.

Besides, I (and probably most of the soloers here) do this because it is damn fun in and of itself. Recognition on thr fotums is just icing on the cake.

You are grossly overestimating bard DPS.
