Unhappy Installation problems

Returning player here

So I decided to return back to the game after 2 years after hearing about the new release of server green. I got quite excited and decided to reinstall the game.
So I did the same procedure as usual. Install the 5 discs and everquest titanium. Then I extracted the new files to the everquest.
Then after that I forgot how to actually start the game... Also apparently we dont have to take the 5 files out anymore that we used to?
Back then what I did to play the game was open eqgame while adding "patchme" to its directory but now it doesnt show that so now I dont know how to open the game
If anyone could help that would be cool.
Thank you![You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have a similar problem. I went to LaunchTitanium and it says Windows can't find eqgame.

Where did you install it at? Sounds like the OS doesn't understand where the exe is and just gives up.

It could be in a folder that EQ doesn't normally look at to launch.
It could be in a folder that your user ID on your computer does not have administrator rights to.

Yes, but the folder that your EQ executable is in could be admin only rights.
Where is your executable? For instance, mine is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest

Your installation confuses me. You still need to pull out the files to hear the correct classic music and there should have been a shortcut after installation that you could have clicked on to launch the game. You can also launch the game by clicking the executable in the Everquest folder.

Outside of that, maybe download and install Duxa's all in one and see if that helps..

There were posts in the Duxa thread over the last few months claiming issues with download links.
