You may be right. It is however the most recent thing in my memory, and she said something like "go back to mexico" or "get out of my country" or something to that effect.

Why do you think people are so scared and fearful? This is not normal human behavior.

Do you think it might be because everyone who is Latino or Latinx is possibly considered an MS13 member and potential animal infestation? now?

It's entirely possible to also, not be a Trump supporter, and still be affected by the racist language and attitudes being pushed heavily on the internet and through propaganda like Fox News (sorry Entertainment!) Network.

"Go back to your own country" is xenophobia. Technically different, but related closely enough to racism you could make the argument it's the same thing. It's the same thing.

Some would consider the brick on the head an insult as well. The context is she's xenophobic enough to commit a hate crime against a visitor to our country. I'm not particularly invested in whether or not this woman is a xenophobic-racist-hate-crime-committing-trump-supporter as much as labeling her a bad person. People suck these days and anti-immigrant sentiment is a little more prevalent since we elected that orange into office.

is wrong. don't matter if she's racist. she bashed a head with a brick. If she were a regular volunteer helling immigrants, would it make the brick any lighter? Would we say, "well, she is nice to other races often, so let's consider this bricking less bad."

It's more troubling to think that this black American woman who, statistically, did not vote for Trump is acting like an American. What constitutes an American changes depending on the ideas floating around in our culture. Memetics won this election. One of the winning thought viruses, or memes, was that our country was worse than it was before thanks to foreigners. You don't have to support Trump to be affected by his ideology.

But it's easier to just call this woman an asshole

That's what I'm saying. She's probably anti-Trump but the possibility of the sentiments to slip through the cracks and effect her thinking.. it's interesting and scary to consider. Spirit of the times and all that.
