I dont agree with progressive tax schemes because they primarily affect upper echalon wage workers. A sensible flat tax that fairly assesses ALL avenues of income with child tax credits, and earned income tax credits for the lower rung would be ideal. The govnerment isnt a very good proprietor of wealth.
If they were to rake in an additional 20% in tax income year over year, the people wouldnt see a dime, they would just budget for 20% increased inefficient spend.

I short of agree. A flat tax would be simpler and get rid of a lot of the loopholes. But, I don't believe in the personal income tax at all, nor the inheritance tax. These taxes are just a way for the envious to stick it to the "rich". But, what the inheritance tax really does is destroy family farms and businesses. Then, who comes in to buy the farms and businesses? Big corporations, that's who. I thought the left was against big corporations.
