House Democrats warn President Trump to stop his "reprehensible witness intimidation" aimed at the Ukraine whistleblower.

In a statement Thursday, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and, Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings addressed reports that Trump had referred to the people who gave the whistleblower information as "close to a spy" and said in the old days spies were dealt with differently.

"The President's comments today constitute reprehensible witness intimidation and an attempt to obstruct Congress' impeachment inquiry. We condemn the President's attacks, and we invite our Republican counterparts to do the same because Congress must do all it can to protect this whistleblower, and all whistleblowers," they said. "Threats of violence from the leader of our country have a chilling effect on the entire whistleblower process, with grave consequences for our democracy and national security."

Spelling this out for you because you seem too stupid to figure it out on your own:

Trump holds up aid to Ukraine. Less than a week later, calls up asking a foreign national to investigate an American, one of his political opponents.

"That's some nice aid we're giving you. It would be a shame if something were to happen to it. Oh by the way, can you do me a favor and get that investigation on my political opponent and his family rolling again?"

Even without the pathetic attempt at coercion, the simple act of the POTUS asking a foreign nation to go after an American national is disgusting. If Obama or Hillary did it you'd be out for blood. It's clear all you care about are liberal tears at the expense of all else, you can at least cut the bullshit and pretense.

Not nearly as disgusting as Trump colluding with a foreign power to target an American political opponent. Also there is nothing ethically wrong with sitting president's participating in domestic politics. There's no expectation that the POTUS be apolitical and in fact they are the de facto leader of their party.
