I grew up in Texas. Years back, began a small landscaping venture. Didn't last long (don't spread out your client base if half your friggin' overhead is based on mileage), but it was fun watching the looks of surprise on people's faces seeing a white dude mowing lawns.

Moved to Portland. First time I saw a construction crew up here, it was full of white people. First thought was, "how many foreman do they need?"

Shit is weird up north.
