He has connections with Knightt in that he used to be in FV. He told me this fact, and then told me that he was inspected by GMs and found to be innocent. I figured he was telling the truth, as why would he mention the fact that he had connections to knightt at all if he was lying?

Turns out that in the end he was just an idiot, so thats that.

Similar thing happened to me, I was told there's nothing they can do on my account.

On a separate account, I changed only the login server password, and it never worked, must have typed it wrong. Also got told there's nothing they can do.

If they can undo this, there's obviously something they can do.

Glad theres a happyish ending, by "vacation" Ephi probably means he's not gone forever?

My cleric was in FV for a while, does that make me a known RMTer? Be careful throwing around guild names when dishing the dirt on 1-2 people, it doesnt male everyone dirty [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Silo and frank should take it to rnf. That behaviour shouldn't be tolerated in server chat.

I hope someone does something for you, but I'm skeptical anything will come of it. Who knows.

Oh I know he will, but it would be great if the devs would delete his account...

I don't see why they are so unwilling to permaban people, some of them have fucked the server several times and they MIGHT get a week ban...

sure i guess people can always make a new account and start over but theres no consequence besides a short break for cheating. little disheartening

I've seen this type of pattern in live and to an extent, here. I wonder if it's a necessary evil for a successful server? Is there a game or server anybody knows of where permaban is an immutable rule? How does a server like that fare? I have no experience upon which to draw for such parameters.

Is looking the other way by authority a necessary evil at times for the overall health? I only see arguments to the contrary- that we need hard rules and punishment to guarantee a successful community.

This is an honest question. I was thinking about it all and realized, the model I see talked about on this server is the only one I've ever experienced in EQ, EQ2, some WoW and P99.
