How long is he banned for saying athletes are monkies with no academic merits? Pretty sure he specified he meant ALL peoples, whatever I guess. I know he was walking a line, but was the ban really just over innuendo without a smoking gun? Would appreciate clarification if its being offered.

We were in the middle of a discussion is the only reason why I care, and I was in the midst of typing up a quality installment to this thread at the time.

There's no plausible deniability when you call a black person a dindu and a monkey in the context of that post, and then in subsequent post, liken their appearance to silverback gorillas. If you can't pick up the racism in those posts you're either stupid or disingenuous.

Or, we are just not obsessed with race and actively searching for racial undertones in everything. He called black people dindus and included them in a group (which I understood to be athletes in general unless the entire football team was black), which he referred to as monkeys. I still don't understand why calling someone a monkey is racist, especially when applied to a multi-racial group. What about a pig, or a rat, or a dog? Sure it's not nice, but racist?

As for dindu, I'd not heard that term before and after googling it, certainly is not polite speech and yeah, that's racist (unless you praise criminality) because it suggests all black people are criminals. It is no different though than holding the US populace responsible for the actions of our government. Both attribute the negative qualities of a segment of a group to the whole group.

Back to the football analogy though, silverback certainly would be a better descriptor for football players in general because of their size and disposition. A silverback is the largest/ most aggressive male of a group of over-muscled creatures. Pretty accurate description of football players regardless of race.

I am more appalled at the hypocrisy of people labeling others racist while simultaneously immediately associating black people with apes, twice! How about we end the obsession with race?

I still suspect Dainippon to be the most cunning troll to grace our forums though.

There's nothing "cunning" about Japan. He's just your garden-variety troll, typing provocative things to get a response from idiots on the internet. With him there is no subtlety to speak of, nothing particularly insightful and, worst of all, his jokes are rarely funny. From where I've seen it used and the urban dictionary definition, dindu is not generally applied to all black people. It's reserved for those who engage in criminal activity and then claim "I didn't do nothing" or some variation of that phrase. It would seem to be about as racist as the term "white trash", which is a subset of white people who choose to act in a certain way. To me, neither term is racist since it applies only to a subset of a population based on their chosen behavior.

Dindu can be used to describe any person that denies his actions (typically criminal but not exclusive) despite proof to the contrary.

I.E. If IRYD tried to deny that he cried to GMs to get BigJ banned again for thoughtcrimes that go against his PC Cultural Marxist narrative. If he denied that fact he is a cry baby rat he would become a dindu because we all know he snitched.

I.E. Hillary dindu nuffins when she wiped the server with 'like a towel or something'.
