Didn't ISIS directly come out and say they were sending people into Europe with the refugees to eventually wreak havoc? This isn't really a surprise and it's only the first of many. The next few years is likely to see a lot of bloodshed in Europe. WW3 has likely already started, but we don't recognize it yet.

You can't defeat an insurgency with an occupation under the current rules of engagement. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, should have been enough to teach us that.

As soon as we show up they'll put away their black flags, put on their finest civilian clothes, and lay dormant planting IED's until we leave. It's also a colossal drain on our resources that accomplishes nothing, and this reality is one of the motivations behind these terrorist attacks... trying to provoke a misguided, useless, expensive response. Just look at all the ways 9/11 has degraded our country purely due to the actions we took in the aftermath.
