I've flip flipped on variance 100 times (I'm back to thinking it would be bad), but some of that is because an opinion can evolve as you collect more data. If people stuck to their original beliefs we'd still be collecting nuts in Sub Saharan Africa.
Don't take what I said as an attack, just kind of a fact of both human nature which is especially true here.

And I don't blame you on the variance opinion, and I can understand the flip flop. I think you feel you can compete for dragons now within the contention methods in place, variance just adds a bunch of unneeded bs to the equation.

The truth of the matter is that either side would take just about anyone from the other save a few very extreme examples. We don't have enough people to be picky, just the way it is. From what I've seen so far with Twainz he seems like a decent dude. I'd probably say the same about just about anyone else who switched sides, because I think we're all honestly pretty decent dudes.

You put 500+ people in a virtual environment and tell them to kill each other you're not creating a super friendly environment. When someone switches sides you get both the benefit of their services and the benefit of not having them fight against you. On a low population box that is enough to overlook a LOT of shit.
