Wiz spells - no where to be found

Iceclad not on gypsies, skyshrine merchants magically erased from p99 wiki, temple of ro merchant sells nothing ...

To put wiz port spells for velious ONLY on the skyshrine merchant that is unlisted on p99 wiki in some hell of a maze is really, truly, mean. No other real way to put it ... [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

PLEASE restore it to the temple of ro peeps and/or gypsies. I know they were put on there slightly later but please don't make everyone go to deeeeep skyshrine for it where you have to grind faction - you can't even grind faction until higher lvls, so like the lvl 34 iceclad spell...? Come on ..... druids are just casually buying it from a friendly merchant.

I and all wizards beg of you to modernize this - this is not right.

Have you tried talking to the Sol Ro gnome?

Earlier this year he was bugged to talk about velious before he was supposed to. Perhaps if you follow through his conversation he will once again give you text and explain how to get the wizard spells?

Except it is mostly right. Start killing those shardwurms and other level appropriate mobs if you want your portals. It was a pain getting around at first in Velious back in 2000.

Skyshrine Vendor Patched:
Just a while ago, Skyshrine went down for some patching. It looks like the Great Divide portal has been put on the vendor! There are four portals available to purchase now: Great Divide, Wakening Lands, Cobalt Scar, and Iceclad. If you don't know how to get there, check yesterday's news for the map.

Portal Vendor To Be Patched:
Ya, but when? You ask. Well, Ester the Tester posted about it, there's no definite date on when it will be patched with the correct spell of Great Divide Portal instead of Iceclad. Here's her quote from the Bug Board -

There was a problem unfortunately and the spell was missed
It will be fixed the next time we patch data... that is the best I can do sorry =(
Even though they blew it, I can at least respect Ester for replying.
The bummer is that there is no set date for the next patch. Rumors are up to 3 weeks out. Ouch!

Skyshrine Portal Vendor:
Yesterday, Verant introduced our vendor to the world that supplies us with our Velious portal spells. However, there are a couple issues with this vendor.

The vendor carries 3 portals.. but not the correct three. It seems that instead of putting the Great Divide Portal on the vendor, Iceclad Portal is in it's place. So the three portals the vendor carries are Wakening Lands, Cobalt Scar, and Iceclad.
Many are having faction issues with this vendor, resulting in not being able to purchase. If this is the case, the quick fix is to find someone with good faction to buy your spells for you or bring an enchanter or bard to correct the issue.

This is taken from an e-mail I just recieved.

Zone: Skyshrine
Vendor: Guardian Trekolz
Location: +322, -874 This is a secret area. In order to find it, Enter Skyshrine. Go through the first gate, turn left. At the next intersection, turn left and then an immediate right. Go up the stairs then take the first right. Go all the way to the end of this hall, past all the doors then turn left. This hallway will dead end, but at the dead end you fall through to the spell vendor room.
Ignore the above location and follow this map. =)
I have not checked this to confirm but it sounds like a very logical place. Thanks Grimone!

Sorry about the time I took to post this but better late than never I guess. This is an exerpt from today's patch message -

However, given today's server maintenance being performed by our Operations Team, we were able to include a few small updates. These include some minor polishing on the Plane of Mischief, as well as the placement of the wizard's Velious teleport spells on merchants.
Uh... so the portals really weren't there all along and we were on a goose chase? Bah.. anyway.. go find em boys and girls!

December4 and 5, 2001,

Light Race Velious Spells:
For the light races, you can find your Iceclad Gate and Iceclad Portal in the gypsy camp in North Karana. Look for the male vendor, 'Roule'.

Velious Spells for Sale:
Spent the evening looking for Velious spells and so far, only Iceclad Gate and Iceclad Portal have been for sale on the dark elf vendor, Smith Tv`ysa at the tents in South Ro. Besides these spells, the only thing I've seen changed is the new dock in North Ro with the little gnome pirate, 'Frankel the Pirate' that will speak to you. Off to continue looking for vendors the light races can purchase from... I'll report here in the news if I come up with anything.

Wizard Spells:
Besides the Iceclad Portal and Gate being for sale in the mainlands, the only spell I could find for sale in Velious was O'Keils Flickering Flame (Level 34, Damage Shield by 6, Increase Fire Resist by 10). Easiest way to get it is to gate into Iceclad Ocean (Iceclad Gate or Portal), use Abscond to take you to the docks, exit the dock and turn left, following the waters edge until you can see the igloos up on the hill. Inside one of the igloos, you will find a gnome in a bright blue robe named Xorbinasticalus Zimralicus (+4631.04, +1315.80, +73.88). He sells it for about 4pp.

These are the three portals that druids can purchase from the vendor outside of the Plane of Growth in Wakening Lands. Supposedly we have a vendor in Velious somewhere too. The spells we are not looking for are Iceclad Portal and Iceclad Gate. Those two can be purchased from gypsy vendors on the mainlands in Rathe Mountains, North Karana, and South Ro.

Sounds like we may need emergency down time to remove the vendor selling these horrid spells to wizards in Skyshrine.
